Common questions
Is there a cost?
The weekly lane digest is free — no credit card or trial period. Scout is in private beta at $149/mo per lane for eligible accounts; public enrollment is currently waitlisted.
How is this different from SAM.gov saved searches?
SAM.gov saved searches keep your filters and email you on a schedule — they work. Two things they do not do. They treat NAICS and set-aside as separate filters, so a saved search cannot require both together: search NAICS 561210 alone and much of what you get is not reserved for your firm, but add the set-aside filter and you drop the 53% of notices that leave that field blank. And they do not rank — every match lands equally weighted, with no fit score, no bid/no-bid call, and no heads-up when a contract in your lane comes up for recompete. A FedLane lane is the pair, ranked by fit and deadline urgency. The goal is zero noise, not zero misses.
Will I get an email when nothing in my lane matches?
Yes. Free and Scout both get a short Monday quiet receipt after a healthy scan finds no qualifying notices. A new account's first healthy digest also always sends, even if empty. On other weekdays, Scout sends only when a qualifying opportunity or an expiry or recompete alert clears the bar.
Is my firm's data shared or sold?
Never. Your firm's data is used only for internal research to improve the platform's scoring and matching in your lane.
